How many devices can be in use when my Sensi thermostat is in geofencing mode?


The geofencing feature can be used on any supported mobile device that is logged into your Sensi account. We allow you to choose which devices you would like to opt into geofencing. Simply navigate to the scheduling tab in your Sensi app and turn on geofencing for each mobile device you would like to control your home.


Geofencing opt in and opt out notes for accounts with multiple users


Opt-in Note: each mobile device must be opted into geofencing mode individually. For instance, if your household has two mobile devices with the Sensi app and the person on device one turns on geofencing, the person on device two will show a checkmark by “No schedule” unless the person on device two chooses geofencing as well.


Opt-out Note: in order to opt out of geofencing on your mobile device, you’ll need to choose “Programmed schedule” or “No schedule” in the Sensi app’s scheduling tab. This will cause all mobile devices in your account to opt out of geofencing. If you only want one person’s mobile device in geofencing, that person will need to choose the geofencing mode again. All other mobile devices will show “No schedule” until that device is opted into geofencing. This allows users to decide which mobile device(s) they want to control the geofencing temperature triggers.
