What does "iCloud data sync in progress" mean?
You may encounter this message if your Sensi is compatible with Apple HomeKit. When you see this notification, Apple is syncing your iCloud data from across devices. This process can be lengthy, depending on how much data you’re syncing. HomeKit will not allow a user to add or modify HomeKit compatible devices until the sync is complete.
Note: If your iCloud data storage is completely full, you’ll have to delete some things to make room for Sensi with HomeKit.
To successfully pair the Sensi Thermostat with HomeKit, it is best to wait until the syncing process is complete, and then try again. Below are further troubleshooting suggestions if the user continues to receive an iCloud syncing error.
- Check internet and Wi-Fi connection on the iOS device.
- Update your iOS device to the latest version of iOS.
- Restart your iOS device.
- Confirm that both Keychain and Home are enabled in Settings > iCloud.
- Turn iCloud Keychain off and back on.
